BOUESTI TO BE LISTED IN WORLD UNIVERSITIES RANKING IN 2023

Just two years after its establishment, there are strong indications that Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti would be listed in the elite league of World Universities Ranking in 2023.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Universities Ranking Advisory Committee (NURAC), Prof. Peter Okebukola gave the hint after the Times Higher Education World Academic Summit held in New York. Prof. Okebukola stated that BOUESTI is one of the Nigerian Universities in the Reporter category which only require a little nudge to be eligible for inclusion in the elite league tables in 2023. The former NUC Executive Secretary explained that institutions were assessed on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance accross four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. He noted with excitement that Nigerian Universities made significant improvements in the rankings, a feat which singled out Nigeria for commendation at the summit.

Reacting, the Vice-Chancellor of BOUESTI, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa described the news as a heartwarming and welcomed development with a promise that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that the University attains prominence and global reckoning. He assured that strategies have been mapped out to strenghten international exchanges and innovative research activities.
