MR CHILDANTAN OMOLOYE OYEGBAJU

Mr. Childantan Omoloye Oyegbaju began his career at the defunct College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti as an Assistant Librarian in 1998 and rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy College Librarian in 2015 and subsequently, was promoted to the position of a Chief Librarian in 2018.  He was, however, appointed as the Acting College Librarian the same year and he steered the ship of the Library till the College of Education was upgraded to a University.

He was appointed as the pioneer and substantive University Librarian of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State on 6th January 2021.

Mr. Oyegbaju is a thoroughbred professional Librarian and an astute library manager.  He has served as a Consultant to many notable institutions in Nigeria on library matters. He is a Chartered Librarian registered by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria in 2005.  Meanwhile, he obtained his Master’s degree in Library, Archival and Information Studies from the University of Ibadan in 2003 and his bachelor’s degree in Library Science and Sociology from Bayero University, Kano in 1997.  He is computer literate certified by Digital Bridge Institute, Abuja.

He has authored, co-authored, and contributed to books.  Also, he has several scholarly articles published in reputable journals.  He has attended several conferences and seminars in Nigeria and abroad.

He is a committed member of the Nigerian Library Association and a former Editor of the renowned Fountain of Knowledge Journal of Library and Information Science, published by the Nigerian Library Association, Ekiti State Chapter.

He is married and blessed with children.
