MRS. BIODUN SILIFAT MOMOH

AG. REGISTRAR

Mrs. Biodun Silifat Momoh was born on December 27, 1961 in Ikare-Akkoko, Ondo State. She was educated at Egbeoba High School, Ikole-Ekiti, 1976-80, Ondo State College of Arts and Science, Ikare-Akoko, 1980-82 before proceeding to the University of Ilorin between 1982, where she obtained the Bachelor of Arts degree in French in 1985. She equally bagged a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile–ife in 1993.

She began her working career in the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti (now Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti) in 1987 as Administrative Officer II and had the opportunity of traversing the various divisions of the Registry Department. Noted for her profound experience, spartan discipline and resourcefulness, her rise through the ranks to the position of a Deputy Registrar was no fluke and an enviable feat, being the first female Deputy Registrar in the annals of the institution. Mrs. Momoh, an Amazon in the Administrative boardroom, has serviced several Committees, held many positions of responsibilities in headship capacity and has excelled as a woman where others feared to tread.

She has demonstrated in the performance of her duties, a great potential of a consummate administrator. Behind her seemingly fragile frame and calm mien, is a stoically built heart that could withstand pressure of work where others with larger frame would have grumbled. Inspite of her regale background, she remains a sympathetic and unassuming woman and unquestionably in a class of her own.

On the professional plane, she is

  • a Fellow, Certified Institute of Management (FCIM)
  • a Member, Association of University Administrators (MAUA)
  • an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (AMCIPM)
  • a Member, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (MNITAD)
  • a Member, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (MANUPA)

Away from official schedules, she enjoys reading, travelling and helping to put smile on other people’s faces and equally enjoys displaying her culinary skills. She is the first female to be officially appointed as the Acting Registrar of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti and no doubt a pride to the womenfolk.   She is happily married with children.
