The Division of Council Affairs is the Secretariat of the Governing Council of the University and responsible for all Council-related matters. The Division assists the Registrar in various functions as the Secretary to Council.
To be a functional unit in a robust working relationship with relevant departments of the University on matters to be presented to the Governing Council and its Committees.
To provide quality service delivery and relevant information/accurate data in the Coordination of all activities of the Governing Council and its Committees.
The Division performs the following activities/functions:
Mr. David Dada Adesuyi, the Deputy Registrar, Division of Council Affairs was born on 20th December 1962 at Ado-Ekiti in the Ado Local Government Area of Ekiti State. He had his elementary education at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Ado-Ekiti before proceeding to Harding Memorial Modern School, Ado-Ekiti between 1974 and 1977 for his Secondary School Education.
He obtained his Teachers’ Grade Two Certificate in 1981 and later proceeded to Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti) in 1984 where he bagged a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1988. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti) in 2002. Mr. Adesuyi is a fellow of the Certified Institute of Management, Nigeria (FCIMN). He is also a member of the Association of University Administrators (MAUA), and member, of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
He joined the services of the defunct College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti on January 24, 1991, as Administrative Officer II. He rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar on 1st October 2011. He has traversed various Divisions in the Registry Department. He was deployed to the Division of Council Affairs on 1st September 2014.
Mr. D.D. Adesuyi has not only played a pivotal role in the development of the University Registry but also made positive impacts in the actualization of the overall objectives of the Division of Council Affairs.
