LEADERSHIP GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR: BOUESTI VC COMMENDS OYEBANJI’S TRANSFORMATIVE GOVERNANCE

The Vice-Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), Professor Babatunde Omojola, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State and Visitor to the University, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his emergence as the 2025 Leadership Newspaper Governor of the Year.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press, Professor Omojola described the award as a well-.merited recognition of the Governor’s people-centered leadership style, which he noted has significantly transformed Ekiti State across critical sectors.
The Vice-Chancellor commended Governor Oyebanji for his strong commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural renewal, human capital development and economic growth, stressing that his administration has consistently placed the welfare of the people at the forefront of policy decisions.

Professor Omojola observed that the Leadership Newspaper honour is yet another addition to the growing list of prestigious recognitions bestowed on the Governor in recent years. He recalled that Governor Oyebanji had earlier won the Silverbird Man of the Year Award in 2024, the Vanguard Newspaper Good Governance Award in 2024, as well as the Daily Independent Newspaper Governor of the Year Award in 2023.

According to him, these successive awards are clear testaments to the Governor’s leadership prowess, visionary outlook and dedication to sustainable development in Ekiti State.
The BOUESTI Vice-Chancellor further expressed confidence that the Governor’s administration would continue to record remarkable milestones, assuring him of the university community’s continued support and partnership in advancing education, innovation and societal development in the state.

Professor Omojola wished Governor Oyebanji greater accomplishments in his ongoing efforts to build a more prosperous and resilient Ekiti State.
